Booking your car in
We are based near Whitchurch in Hampshire. We will work on your car at our workshop.
For both the Lanoguard and Convertible Roof Protection, we will need your car for at least 24 hours. We have ample storage, so if it’s a car you don’t need every day, leaving it with us for a few days would be best.
Before the protective treatment, your car will need to be cleaned and dried. Once the protection is applied, this will also need time to dry.
For Lanoguard applications, on a warm dry day, the car is usable after 8 hours, but for maximum protection it is advised to leave the car at least 24 hours.
For convertible roofs, we apply two coats of protection after the initial clean. After each treatment, the roof needs time to dry. On a warm day, this is easy, as black roofs dry very quickly, but on a cold winter day, we might need more time.
Please let us know on booking if you have any specific timings or deadlines so that we can plan in the work.
We do also appreciate people have schedules to keep, so we will work with you on pick ups and drop offs. We are based near Whitchurch, Hampshire, 2 minutes from the A34, and 5 mins from the A303. Whitchurch also has mainline railway station to London or Salisbury and is a 30 minute walk or 5 min drive. With prior approval, we can drop you or pick you up at the station.
Lanoguard Protection
What is it?
Lanoguard protects all vehicle underbodies and chassis from rust, salt, acid, alkaline & electrolysis. It stays in place for a long time, is jet wash proof and natural. It is sourced and made in the UK.
Salt, acid and alkaline resistant
Hermetically seals the surface so oxidation can’t occur - stops rust forming or continuing
Waterproof
Jet wash resistant to 3000 psi or 200 bar - won't be displaced and will keep protecting after cleaning
Petroleum resistant - petrol or diesel spillages or leakages wont displace it nor mix with it
Non-conductive to 70,000 volts - safe to use on all electrics and circuit boards
Prevents electrolysis - no more seized nuts and bolts or outboard motor legs
Non-evaporative - it won't dry out like normal grease, leaving un-lubricated or unprotected parts
Heat resistant to 450 degrees celsius
Adheres to all surfaces
Non-leaching - it won't spread to other adjoining surfaces and material
Non perishing - safe to use on all rubbers
Lubricating - amazingly low friction coefficient
Ecologically sound - it can be used safely in marine environments
Non-petroleum based
Benefits
Protects against rust and corrosion
Prevents rust developing further
Year-long protection
Helps retain value in the vehicle
Proven protection in the harshest conditions
Works on any vehicle
Reduces the risk of repairs and replacements
How is it applied?
We will inspect the underside of your vehicle and then prepare it for treatment. In most cases, brushing off dirt or loose rust is enough to prepare the surface. If this is insufficient, we will use a jet washer for a deeper clean.
Once your car is ready to be protected, we raise the car to get access to the underside. We first apply the thick Moto Grease. This is a super-concentrated surface protectant product. Once the Lanoguard Moto Grease has been applied to the worst affected areas, we apply the Lanoguard Moto Spray to cover as much of the underside of the car as we can.
With the wheels in place on some low cars, there can be a restriction on how much of the underside we can reach. For cars that are particularly rusty, we may recommend removing the wheels for extra access and coverage. This service will be charged as an extra, but only carried out after your approval.
How often
We recommend this procedure is carried out annually.
Convertible Roof Protection
What is it?
Convertible roof protection helps protect your roof from damage from the elements. The protection that we apply is highly waterproof and UV resistant.
Benefits
Helps your roof repel water and keep your car water tight
UV protection will improve the longevity of the roof from sun damage
Helps to stop water ingress and steamed up windows
Prevents interior mould and odours caused by excessive damp
Keeps your convertible roof looking great and working well
Allows you to use your convertible all year round - whatever the weather
How is it applied?
The roof is thoroughly washed using a mix of Ph neutral snow foam, then a dedicated roof cleaning formula. Once dried, we then apply the first coat of protection, allow that to dry, and then apply the second coat of protection.
Sometimes the rubber seals on a convertible can dry with age. If we notice this is the case, we recommend applying a lubricant to protect and improve the performance of the rubber surfaces. This can often reduce squeaks and improves the sealing process onto windows and the windscreen. This service will be charged as an extra, but only carried out after your approval.

We recommend this procedure is carried out annually.
